Terms of Use

Welcome to HostnToast! These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the HostnToast app and related services. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

HostnToast is a party-planning app that helps you organize parties, including guest lists, invitations and RSVPs, menus, recipes, seating, tasks, grocery lists, budgets, photos, shared Memories keepsakes, and My Cookbook. Your first complete party is complimentary after you create a HostnToast account and complete the required host profile. Features may change over time.

2. Subscriptions

After your first complete party free, creating additional parties requires an eligible subscription. HostnToast offers these yearly auto-renewing plans:

• Socialite: US list price $49.99 per year for up to 12 parties per subscription year. The complimentary first complete party is separate from this allowance. After the allowance is used, you may upgrade to Ultimate Socialite or wait until your Socialite subscription renews and the allowance resets.
• Ultimate Socialite: US list price $89.99 per year for unlimited parties.

Prices may vary by country or region. The current localized price and subscription period displayed by Apple's StoreKit purchase sheet at the time you confirm is authoritative.

• Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same term unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Deleting the app or your HostnToast account does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple, and refund requests are handled by Apple under their policies at support.apple.com/billing.
• Price changes. If a price changes, Apple will notify you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent before charging.
• Restore Purchases. Use Restore Purchases in the app to ask Apple and RevenueCat to restore an eligible subscription associated with your store account. Restoration does not create a refund or extend an expired subscription.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of party plans, recipes, photos, notes, comments, and other content you submit ("User Content"). You give HostnToast a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, transmit, display, and otherwise process User Content only as needed to operate and provide the features you choose, including delivering invitations, collecting RSVPs, extracting a recipe from an image, storing Cookbook content, and displaying or allowing downloads from a shared keepsake. This license permits us to use service providers for those purposes.

You control what you add and share and are responsible for your User Content and invitations. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit and share the content, including names, contact information, addresses, dietary information, comments, and images of other people. Only use contact details you are entitled to use. Invitation and keepsake links can be opened by anyone who receives them, so share links carefully. Guests who submit names, RSVP details, dietary restrictions, photos, or comments give HostnToast the same limited permission to process and display that content as needed to provide the requested feature.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to violate law or another person's rights; submit content that is unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, infringing, deceptive, or invasive of privacy; impersonate another person; send spam or unsolicited invitations; distribute malware or harmful code; probe, disrupt, overload, or bypass security or access controls; access another person's account or nonpublic content without permission; scrape or automate access except as we authorize; or reverse-engineer the app except where applicable law permits. You may not use recipe, RSVP, Memories, Cookbook, or storage features in a way that abuses provider limits or interferes with others' use.

5. Third-party services

Some features rely on third-party services, including Clerk, Apple, RevenueCat, Replit, OpenAI through Replit AI, Spoonacular, and TheMealDB. Their services and content may be governed by their own terms and may be unavailable or changed independently of HostnToast. We are not responsible for third-party recipe accuracy, completeness, availability, or allergen information. Always verify ingredients and preparation yourself when cooking for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies.

6. Availability and changes

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, and access may occasionally be interrupted by maintenance, network conditions, provider outages, or technical issues. We do not promise that invitation or keepsake links, recipe providers, AI scanning, object storage, or subscription verification will always be available. Keep copies of content you cannot afford to lose and do not rely on HostnToast for emergency communications.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HostnToast will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data or lost profits, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the twelve months before the claim arose.

9. Termination and deletion

You may stop using the app or delete your account in the app at any time. Account deletion makes account-linked invitation and keepsake links unavailable, removes the server information within the deletion scope described in our Privacy Policy, and performs the device-local cleanup described there. Legacy information not linked to account ownership may require a support request, and a local file may remain if the device cannot delete it. Deletion is not reversible and does not cancel or refund an Apple subscription. Cancel subscriptions separately through Apple. We may suspend or end access for a violation of these Terms or when reasonably necessary to protect the service or others.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
